If at first you do not succeed....try...try...AGAIN!
We tried our hand at a Kickstarter campaign about six months ago. Sure it did pretty well, especially for a first time, but let's be honest we're not fulfilling orders, so it did not do WELL enough.
However, our original supporters are some of the coolest gamers out there and much like the 6 Million Dollar Man - we now have a better, stronger, and faster version. Well, depends on who is playing at the table if it actually plays faster.
Over the next six months we worked and worked...took a nap...broke a leg or two...and worked some more. There were intense discussions, perhaps even arguing and a heck of a lot of pizza.
We connected with some of our original backers and accepted their offers for play testing. From their feedback, we made some more tweaks and changes and quite honestly, the game is stone cold bionic. Wait, can you mix Steve Austins?
We are excited for you to play ROIL.
It is easy.
It is fun.
And it is even more fun when your friend (or your mom) is just about to win the hand and you smack that QUEEN down with a FATE card - BOOM!

Playtesters hard at work and unsuspecting party guests who were invited to the table. Note the random foot at the side - thus the broken leg. One does want to show off scars once in a while, especially if it distracts the rest of the players long enough to swap a card under the table. Of course, NOT recommended during traditional game play.
